Registration

Important Information Regarding Preschool:   

Gower West Preschool is not an open enrollment preschool.  

Before requesting enrollment, your child must:

1. Participate in one of our preschool screenings*, qualify for the program, and receive an invitation to register OR 

2. Have a current IEP on file with Gower West.

3.  Have a current IFSP in Early Intervention and have completed a Transition Meeting with Gower West.

Registration Process opens Spring 2024:

We will once again offer full online registration to our families. Please carefully read the information and registration steps to ensure your enrollment goes smoothly.  The online registration process must be completed and the proofs of residency must be submitted before your child may begin attending in the fall.  Before you register, check the district boundaries to make sure you live in Gower School District 62.

 

*Current Gower West Preschool Students will complete the registration process in April as a returning student.

 

Step One – Complete the Online Pre-Registration 

• Click here to access the Enrollment Pre-Registration Form beginning March 1, 2024

• Complete the online information and submit the form

Once you submit the Enrollment Pre-Registration Form, the school will process your request and upon approval you will receive three emails.

1. “Welcome to Enrollment Express” email 

2. Enrollment Express “Pre-registration Approved” email 

3. “Welcome to Gower School District 62!” email

Step Two – Set Up PowerSchool Account and Complete Online Registration

• Follow the directions in the “Welcome to Gower School District 62!” email you received from PowerSchool.

• Once your account is set-up and you are logged in:

1. Complete the online registration/enrollment forms.

2. During this process, you will be required to upload your child’s birth certificate and proof of residency documents.  PLEASE NOTE:  Your child’s original birth certificate will need to be presented in person before registration is considered complete. 

Step Three – Check for Confirmation Emails

• The school office will review your submission to ensure it’s complete and you will be notified if additional information or documentation is needed.

Step Four – Fee Payment Form

• Required registration and transportation (if applicable) fees will appear in your Powerschool Parent Portal under "Balance".

 

Step Five – Additional Required Forms to Complete (if you are unable to print the following, they may be picked up in the school office)

• Kindergarten Orientation Presentation

• Kindergarten Health Information- Must be completed prior to first day of school.

• • Dental Form, Eye Exam, Student Health Information, Child Shot Record/Physical
  • All Health Forms

Welcome to Gower School District 62!

New Student Registration registration is a two step process.

Step 1: Click this link to pre-register your child.

Upon completion, you will receive an email from enrollment@accelaschool.com indicating your pre-registration request is in process.

Step 2: An email from “Gower62PowerSchool” will be sent. This email will contain the remaining instructions for enrolling your child(ren).

Step 3: Health Forms

• Dental Form, Eye Exam, Student Health Information, Child Shot Record/Physical
• All Health Forms
